Depart from Tirana, Golem, or Durrës and travel through the Albanian countryside toward Komani Lake. The journey takes you through scenic mountain landscapes, with a short stop along the way before reaching the lake.

At Komani Lake, board a traditional boat and begin an unforgettable cruise through a dramatic landscape often compared to a fjord. Emerald-green waters wind between towering mountains, creating spectacular scenery throughout the journey.

After the boat ride, arrive at the beautiful Shala River, known for its crystal-clear turquoise water and dramatic canyon surroundings. Enjoy several hours of free time to swim, relax by the river, explore the area, or simply enjoy the peaceful natural environment.

For travelers looking for an extra adventure, an optional guided hike of approximately 45 minutes takes you toward the panoramic viewpoint known as Guri i Lekës, offering impressive views over the Shala River canyon.

After your time at Shala River, board the boat again for the return journey across Komani Lake. Your vehicle will then be waiting to take you back toward Tirana, Golem, or Durrës.

Itinerary

1. Pickup — Tirana, Golem, or Durrës
Meet your driver and guide at your confirmed pickup location.

2. Drive toward Komani Lake — approximately 2 hours
Travel through the Albanian countryside toward northern Albania.

3. Vau i Dejës — break and photo stop, approximately 30 minutes
Enjoy time for coffee, refreshments, photographs, or a short break. Personal purchases are not included.

4. Continue to Komani Lake — approximately 1 hour 40 minutes

5. Komani Lake — boat cruise, approximately 80 minutes
Board the boat and cruise through the spectacular mountain scenery of Komani Lake.

6. Shala River — approximately 3 hours 15 minutes
Enjoy free time at Shala River for swimming, sightseeing, relaxing, photography, kayaking, and other available activities. Lunch and drinks may be available depending on the selected option.

7. Shala River — optional hike, approximately 45 minutes
Join an optional guided hike toward the Guri i Lekës viewpoint and enjoy panoramic views over the canyon.

8. Shala River — return boat cruise, approximately 80 minutes
Board the boat and travel back across Komani Lake.

9. Drive toward the drop-off location — approximately 2 hours

10. Vau i Dejës — short break, approximately 30 minutes

11. Continue toward the final drop-off — approximately 2 hours

12. Drop-off — Tirana, Golem, Durrës, or Komani Lake Ferry area
