Amazing experience. We are glad that Shala River Trip made this trip possible out of the season end of March.

Professionally organised
We really enjoyed it. Our dog behaved very well and calmly. The road was really bad in places, which made the first part of the journey by Minibus a little strenuous. The boat trip was wonderful, the views of Lake Komani were magnificent. The destination on the Shala River was also scenically sensational. Of course, the destination was full of people. But that is (unfortunately) unavoidable at tourist hotspots. What saddened us was the amount of rubbish we saw on the water, on sandbanks and also on the ground in the restaurant area. In our opinion, something urgently needs to be done about this!
Overall, the tour was well and professionally organised by the tour operator. We can recommend the excursion.
What a fabulous trip to Komani and Shala River! Well organised and very punctual pick up. The drive to the lake was interesting as there is a lot of roadworks going on, but the driver was excellent. The boat trip was fabulous with stunning scenery and good boat handling, especially in the shallow areas. The day on the banks of the Shala River was wonderful. I would highly recommend this trip! Thank you for a lovely excursion!

we had a lovely day
We stayed in Koman down the road and had a car so we drove to the meeting point only to realise there's no parking anywhere nearby. You either park on the side of a cliff and get a fine or park a considerable distance away and walk it, which we were not informed of when booking the tour. We were lucky to make it on time tbh and it's very chaotic at the tunnel (you have to walk through this to get to the boats unless you have pick up from your hotel) another thing to note is the roads around komani are the worst I've ever seen and horrendous to drive on. A 40 min journey ends up taking 2+ hrs cause you can't drive more than 5mph dodging pot holes. It's quite exhausting so beat that in mind when you book! The trip itself takes just over an hour on an uncomfortable hard seated boat that was crammed (others weren't so we were unlucky) but the 4 hrs spent in lumi I shales was worth it in our eyes. Beautiful crystal clear cold water, very busy but you can walk right up around the corner away from the crowds. Food is very average here as you'd expect being so remote but we had a lovely day and you'd get some Cracking photos
We arranged to be picked up from Shkoder, which is a wise choice considering the conditions of the road to the ferry station and the difficulty in finding parking there. Booking the tour with bus shuttle included is very comfortable and will save you a lot of struggle.
As per the boat part, just sit and enjoy the views!
Once arrived at Blini Park we could rent a kayak for 10 EUR per hour, get refreshments, use the toilet etc. Bring cash (either EUR or LEK), cards are almost never an option.
The trip was perfect
